Daily Ministry of God's Word
Teaching students to put the Lord first
in everything and to be ever growing in
devotion and service to Him is the
reason why Living Word Academy
exists as it is today. Chapel is a vital
part of every day at the Academy. Elementary
grades kindergarten through 6th
meet every morning, as do grades 7th
through 12th. Elementary and high
school students are separated because
of their different comprehension levels.
LWA's Chapel is conducted
in a similar manner as our regular Church meetings.
The students begin by praise and
worship to the Lord. Students on the
Worship Team lead the worship in the
high school chapel each day. After worship,
an elementary teacher presents
the Word of God to the lower grades,
while one of the high school teachers
preaches the Word to the high school
pupils, under the guidance of the Holy
Ghost. The presented Word for the
younger students is given in a way they
can grasp, remember, and apply.
For the high school students, the preaching
is presented at a more adult level. They
receive it, and then apply it in their lives
in a practical way.
Students are encouraged to seek the Lord during morning chapel.
Students have been saved, healed,
baptized in the Holy Ghost (evidenced
by speaking in tongues), and generously
fed spiritually during Chapel. Chapel
every day is God's program for
our students to be rooted and grounded
in the Faith. It is an important help to
"train up a child in the way he should go;
and when he is old, he will not depart
from it." (Prov. 22:6)
If there's anything
the students are encouraged to do from
day to day at the Academy, it is this:
"...thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all
thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with
all thy mind, and with all thy strength."
(Mark 12:30)
